Recalling a troubling incident, he shared the story of a persistent lady who claimed his late son fathered her child before his passing.
The grieving father disclosed the strategic steps he took to handle this sensitive situation, emphasizing the crucial necessity of a DNA test to determine the true paternity of his grandson.
Speaking with Ibadan Radio host Oriyomi Hamzat, Mohbad’s father recounted a distressing incident wherein a lady, asserting pregnancy, approached him with a one-million-naira demand.
He described how she persistently stalked and confronted him in Ikeja, insisting that she bore Mohbad’s child.
Mr. Aloba affirmed that he accompanied the woman to Panti police station, where she stayed for two days. Despite police encouragement, he couldn’t meet her extravagant demand.
Consulting his lawyer, they subjected her to multiple pregnancy tests, all refuting her claim. Confirming her deception, he notified the police.
When she persisted in demanding one million naira, Mohbad’s father, opting for compassion, suggested providing food instead. He expressed facing numerous challenges since Mohbad’s passing.
Regarding another claim of someone asserting to have his late son’s child, he expressed skepticism, deeming it a mere rumor on social media. Emphasizing that the only child his son acknowledged was Liam, he stressed caring for Liam if DNA verification confirms him as Mohbad’s son.
Reflecting on the days before Mohbad’s demise, he shared a poignant moment when Mohbad, three days before his passing, shared a meal and placed Liam in his arms, capturing the moment with pictures on his iPad.
Despite prayers before Liam’s birth, Mohbad’s father questioned the need for doubt while underscoring the necessity of DNA confirmation.
